Part 36: Episode XXXIV: Operation Market Garbage (Part 2)
Episode XXXIV: Operation Market Garbage (Part 2)
The end of that previous update was just to mask that I uploaded a shiny higher quality Vimeo version of the FMV clip and needed a few hours for it to process. This was, of course, thwarted by the forums closing for an extended period. So, here's the rest of the update!
Vincent decides to hang back on disembarking until the explosion is sufficiently close to give a boost to his faux-badass stat.
You'd think word would have gotten to Deepground, at this point, that Vincent Valentine is probably a Priority-1 target and would immediately concentrate fire on the moron in the billowing red cape, until he went down. But, you'd also think armies stopped essentially lining up in single-file rows and firing at one another after the Civil War, too.
Yes, minimal...other than an entire third of the ship being destroyed and the loss of fifty percent of what is keeping the thing in the air.
Cid's revenge comes in the form of vanishing for from the story, until the end. But, rest assure, it probably made a shit load more sense than what we're going to get with Vinnie.
Speaking of Vincent Valentine, it seems the length between we saw FMV Vincent (not to be confused with Cutscene Vincent) in action has greatly augmented his ridiculously overpowered weapon abilities. At this late stage in the game, destroying a mini-boss with an entire clip is simply passé.
Vinnie need only spin, strike a pose, and fire a single shot.
And the chopper immediately explodes just to how sheer fucking epic the performance was.1
Following his one-shotting a helicopter, in a game where the player yet to successfully destroy more than a single chopper in game, Vincent discovers the fatal flaw in the aerial surfboard's design. That being, you are utterly boned if a bullet so much as nips you or your ride.
Unless, you're Vincent Valentine, of course. In which case you just spin around briefly.
Grind down the sides of a few buildings (don't worry about the internal mechanism within the device exploding. It's probably just magic!)
And glide safely into the heat of battle to bust some heads and take it straight to Deepground.
...
Hahaha! I'm just kidding.
Vincent just completely runs from the main battle like a putz and lands as far away as possible from his targeted drop point as the developers can possibly stuff three stages worth of material into.
Ladies and Gentlemen: Welcome...
